Established
in l977, The CCS Global Group (CCS) is a leader in Regulations,
Codes and Standards (RCS) development and harmonization in the field
of hydrogen, fuel cells and other alternate energy technologies.
CCS personnel have decades of experience in providing strategy consulting
to governments and industry and advice in compliance matters.
Leadership
International - CCS holds leadership positions in ISO/TC 197 (including
chair of the TC and convenor of WG8 Hydrogen generators using water
electrolysis and WG11 Gaseous hydrogen and hydrogen blends - fuelling
stations). CCS represents ISO at the UN ECE/WP29 which is developing
Global Technical Regulation (GTR) on the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle
(HFCV).
Canadian
- CCS holds the position of chair in the development of the Canadian
Hydrogen Installation Code (CHIC) which defines the installation
requirements for hydrogen infrastructure. In the position of vice-chair,
CCS offers leadership to Canadian committee IEC/TC 105 and other
groups involved in the standardization of hydrogen and fuel cell
technologies.
RCS
Harmonization
Since 2002, through its GCG Project, CCS has assisted in harmonizing
the Connector standard for hydrogen vehicles and the on-board hydrogen
(liquid and gaseous) storage tank standards, all of which will be
very useful in the development of GTRs for the HFCV.
CCS
coordinated an international harmonization event on behalf of ISO
(and supported by the UN ECE/WP29) known as the ISO Round Table
on Global Harmonization of RCS for gaseous fuels and vehicles. High
level decision makers participated in the ISO Round Table which
was held in early 2007 in Geneva. Click
